News Flash from Tapi Tarang 2017

A healthy mind in a healthy body. All students should know the importance of physical exercise and healthy eating habits. Students from Pre Nursery to Class V observed Health and Nutrition Week from 5 April to 7 April 2017.

They discussed and practiced balanced diet, ways to remain fit and consequences of eating junk food. A special meal schedule was formulated and posted on class blogs to highlight the value of a nutritious diet, balancing the five food groups  vegetables, fruits, grains, protein foods and dairy

Many students followed the schedule and brought healthy tiffin.  They prepared and took home diet chart, food pyramid, tablemat and practiced regular physical exercise as well. They learned that eating healthy food and regular physical exercise help in:

Ø  Brain and body development

Ø   Avoiding health problems

Ø  Increasing concentration level

Ø  Increase energy and endurance levels

Ø  Growing tall and strong

Ø   Keeping bones and muscles strong

Remember to practice this learning every day from now on!
