03.10.2017 Communication from Delhi Public School Tapi

Dear Parent / Authorised Guardian

In compliance with authorized security directives for student safety at school, it is now mandatory for all bus students of all classes to be escorted to and from the bus stop by parents.

DPS Tapi Learning Partnership Guide, P. 8, Rule 8 states that it is mandatory for bus students to be escorted to and from the bus stop by a responsible adult with DPS Tapi Parent ID Card.

Note: that as per above safety regulation, Rule 9 in P. 8 of DPS Tapi Learning Partnership Guide is now revised as given below:

Original Rule 9 Revised Rule 9
9.    Parents must ensure that their ward does not go to/from the bus stop unescorted (excepting with signed parental undertaking). 9.    Parents must ensure that their ward does not go to/from the bus stop unescorted.

Clarification:

  • There is no exception granted to students from Class VI upwards. All parental undertakings accepting responsibility for ‘No Escort to and from bus for wards in classes VI-X’ submitted earlier are now null and void.
  • No permission will be granted in future to parental applications for students of Classes VI upwards to move unescorted to/from the bus stop.
  • With effect from 01/11/2017 (school re-opening date after Diwali Vacation) revised Rule 9 will be applicable for students of all classes.
  • DPS Tapi strongly recommends that in the interest of child safety, all parents should ensure that their wards are escorted to and from the bus stop for pick-up and drop, by a responsible adult with the parent ID card.
  • Any parents who break the above rule will be solely responsible for subjecting their ward’s safety and security to risk in the commute between the bus stop and home.

Principal
